|Name||Mr Abdulaziz Alkhodair|
|Prior to St Georges:||Aziz came to the College as a low level English language user. He had completed secondary schooling in Saudi Arabia but needed to improve his second language prior to joining University in Saudi Arabia.|
|Progress and Future||Aziz was an excellent student who progressed quickly in his classes. In a combination of group, small class and one-to-one tuition in English he moved through the course-books and eventually sat the IELTS exam in March 2015. He scored an excellent 6.0 in the speaking skill, grading him as a B2 level English language user. For his excellent progression he was named as Challenge Cup winner in June 2015. |Name||Mr Sultan Abusubait|
|Prior to St Georges:||Sultan came to Buckswood St George’s after having a very diverse education. As well as studying in Saudi Arabia he had also spent time in America and Buckswood Main School doing GCSE Maths and general English. When he joined the College in January 2014 he wanted to complete his High School education in line with Saudi requirements. After discussion we arranged for Sultan to take classes in iGCSE English Language, English Literature, Physics, Chemistry, History, Arabic as well as AS and A2 Arabic and the University Foundation Course.|
|Progress and Future||Sultan was without doubt the hardest working student at the College. His timetable was intense and it is to his credit he maintained a near 100% attendance rate. He worked hard to keep ahead of the work load and even completed the Foundation Course and research project during the Easter holiday so he could spend the summer term concentrating on his iGCSE exams. How he also managed to find time to study and Pass the London Academy of Music and Dramatic Arts Public Speaking Exam is beyond most of us. He also managed to squeeze in time to take a flying lesson and do a parachute jump. For his amazing achievement he was named Student of the Year in June 2015.
Sultan had two possible futures, one in engineering and one in law. He applied through UCAS and gained offers in both subjects. He received an unconditional offer from Aston University and will start an undergraduate course in law in September 2015.
